How to Win At Monopoly

monopoly.jpgMy family hates to play monopoly with me. Why? Because I always win. I don’t think it’s because of some great scheme I have or some super-secret strategy. I win because I love money, and I can usually convince family members to enter into some side contract that benefits me more than it benefits them.

If, however, you find yourself on the losing side of monopoly there’s still hope. There’s a list of tips on how to win monopoly at About.com that may help you the next time you find yourself stuck in the slums of Mediterranean Avenue with no hope of ever reaching the glamour of Boardwalk.

  4. Always aim for the green, yellow and blue groups!!…and build houses on those but NOT hotels…put hotels on the cheaper properties as it gives you a better and BIGGER $$$ advantage. BUILD/BUY slowly…do not buy a preoperty and imidetly build hotels and houses on it…as this could be a mistake and lead to bankrupcy…

  5. This is a tip for more of the “element of surprise” & i guess it can kind of help in winning. What i do is i have a “stash” which is money that i keep in a secret place …and no one can know you have a stash. So whenever they THINK your going bankrupt …you pull out the stash! Just make sure that whenever you put money in your stash, that they dont see you do it!
