HSBC Direct Rates Increase to 4.8%

HSBC Direct, one of the giants of the new internet-only banking industry announced yesterday that their online savings account now has an APY of 4.8%. No fees, no minimums, no risk… if you’ve got your money in a traditional savings account I highly recommend looking at HSBC Direct or ING Direct for your savings needs. I can’t see any real reason why you should pass up such great interest rates!

Jump on this if you have the chance. I’ve been with ING for about a year and their rate as risen from 3.0 % to 4.25% in that time alone.
